Djokovic wins the Paris Masters
Novak Djokovic (No. 1-Serbia) has won the men's singles title at the Association of Tennis Professionals (ATP) Tour Rolex Paris Masters (total prize money: €5.779 million).
Djokovic defeated Grigor Dimitrov (No. 17-Bulgaria) 2-0 (6-4 6-3) in the singles final on the final day of the tournament in Paris, France, on Saturday.
It was Djokovic's 40th career ATP Masters 1000 Series singles title. He earned €825,000 ($1.25 billion) for the win.
The Masters 1000 Series is the next level up from the four majors and is a series of prestigious tournaments held nine times a year.
Djokovic was followed by Rafael Nadal (Spain), who won his 36th Masters 1000 Series singles title.
Djokovic swept three of the four majors this year - the Australian Open, French Open and US Open - and won his second Masters 1000 Series title after winning the Cincinnati Masters in August.
Djokovic, who finished runner-up to No. 7 Holger Lune (DEN) in the final of last year's Paris Masters, regained the title for the first time since 2021.
It was also Djokovic's seventh career title at the event, having won it in 2009, 2013-2015, 2019 and 2021.
Since his 2-3 (6-1 6-7<6-8> 1-6 6-3 4-6) loss to Carlos Alcaraz (No. 2-Spain) in the Wimbledon final in July, Djokovic has won 18 straight matches.
Djokovic will next compete at the season-ending ATP Finals, which begins on Nov. 12 in Turin, Italy. 슬롯사이트
