From then on, Alice was captivated by animal care and worked to take that path instead.<br><br>Alice started her Zookeeping journey in 2014 at London [https://biaza.org.uk/news/detail/blog-trials-of-a-keeper-educational-exchange-programme Zoo] ZSL where she was involved with 3 different animal departments. In 2015, she left the [https://www.alicevassallo.co.uk/about Zoo] life to manage a [https://www.facebook.com/ZooKEEPX/ Children's Farm] in North London but after a few years, decide to return to exotic animals, relocating to Costa Rica for 7 months to study Toucans and help with Sloth research.<br><br>When she came back to England, she returned to Zookeeping, and took on the role of a [https://www.keeperexchange.org/get-involved Carnivore Keeper] at Shepreth Wildlife Park, where she stayed for nearly 5 years.<br><br>During this time, she founded the Keeper Educational Exchange Programme (or  [http://www.larsaluarna.se/index.php/User:ErvinCurrier64 zoo] KEEP), a not-for-profit organisation that enables Zookeepers from across the UK and beyond to learn from each other through spending time at other collections. She has spoken about the programme at the ABWAK Symposium and the BIAZA Annual Conference and the organisation is honoured to be BIAZA Endorsed and sponsored by Birdworld, in Surrey.<br><br>In 2023, searching for a creative outlet, Alice launched the animal-comedy podcast: "Asshole Animals with Alice", that explores animal behaviour in a [https://biaza.org.uk/our-partners comedic] fashion, with the help of experts across the world.
