Starz Group today announced the success of its annual PokerStars Caribbean Adventure, which follows the first PokerStars Players Unlimited Holdham Championship, two major live poker tournaments sponsored by its flagship poker brand.

The combined PCA and PSPC at the Atlantis at Paradise Island Resort and Casino in the Bahamas awarded a total of $63 million over 11 days.

"The PCA and PSPC together have set a new benchmark for this kind of live event," said Rafi Ashkenazi, the chief executive of The Stars Group. "These tournaments have created many winning moments and exciting stories for our players and staff, especially Ramon Colillas, who won over $5 million (W5 million) in free admission. It's a great start to the year."

The PSPC ran from Jan. 6-10, and it was the largest buying poker competition in history with a total prize of $26.5 million, including a field of more than 1,000 players and a $1 million prize from the first-place PokerStars.

Spanish poker player Ramon Colillas won $5.1 million in PSPC No. 1 prize money and was one of six millionaires created during the event. Colillas was one of 320 poker star customers who received a PSPC Platinum Pass during 2018, qualifying for free to participate in PSPC.

The PCA concluded on Jan. 16 and awarded the total prize money of $36.3 million. The event attracted more than 1,600 athletes representing 79 countries and created more than 11,000 entries. The $10,300 buy-in 2019 PCA main event attracted 865 entries, with a total prize money of $8.4 million and the top prize money of the main event of $1.6 million. 홀짝게임
