Another dream of "Korean Dream."

The 2024-2025 WKBL Rookie Draft held at Bucheon Gymnasium on Tuesday ended with Kim Bo-hyun (Inseong Girls' High School), who was the sixth-ranked player in the second round and wore the Busan BNK Sum uniform.

After the draft ended, all eyes were on Hong Yoo-soon, who challenged herself to become a Korean dream as a Korean-Japanese. She headed to Shinhan Bank in Incheon as the first priority in the first round.

Following Hong Yoo-soon, another player wore the Cheongju KB Stars uniform as the second runner-up in the second round, dreaming of another "Korean dream." Okaykuchi Reiri. Her Korean name is Lee Yeo-myung.

Lee Yeo-myung participated as a Korean-American player with foreign nationality. A Korean-American player with foreign nationality is a player who has at least one of his parents' current Korean nationality or who has never been registered with the Korea Basketball Association.

Lee was born to a Korean-Japanese mother (formerly Korean, now Japanese national) and a Japanese father. Born in 2001, Lee is 162 centimeters tall. He also appeared in the WKBL Asian Quarter Player Draft Triout held in Tokyo, Japan in June.

Lee spent a year studying abroad at Sangmyung University when she was a senior at university. As a result, Lee, who speaks fluent Korean and says, "I had no idea I would be nominated (laughs), said, "I had an anxious time. I was surprised and grateful. "I think many emotions coexist."

Lee Yeo-myung, who quit basketball during her college years, decided to go to Korea and started playing again. "When I quit basketball, an acquaintance in Korea accidentally told me that she could participate in the WKBL rookie draft. Since then, I wanted to try it. I spent time preparing for it through individual training," she said.

As for the Korean language, he said, "I'm a level 5 Korean (laughs). I think I don't have any inconvenience in my daily life. I think I understand almost everything."

Lee Yeo-myung said she already knew KB Stars even before the nomination. "I thought they had a very good balance. I know Heo Ye-eun exists. I didn't see her that much (laughs). My strength is ball handling and passes that can save my teammates. I don't like to attack by myself. I will do my best as a point guard."

When asked about his favorite player, he got a rather unexpected answer. LaMelo Ball by the Charlotte Hornets of the NBA. He is a player who stands out for his brilliant passing skills. Lee Yeo-myung said, "I watched the video with the recommendation of an acquaintance, and it was so cool."

Lee Yeo-myeong, who dreams of another "Korean dream," said, "I don't have a goal yet because I'm adjusting. Wouldn't I have a clear goal when I have time?"
