Kim Sei-young, who has spent the past three seasons without a championship and is currently ranked 59th in the world, was ranked at the top for three consecutive days in this year's first competition.

Kim Se-young saved two strokes with four bogeys and two bogeys in the third round of the LPGA Tour's Drive-On Championship (total prize money of $1.75 million) at Bradenton Country Club (par 71, 6,557 yards) in Bradenton, Florida, on the 28th (Korea time).

Kim, who tied for fourth in the first round and tied for sixth in the second round, posted 8-under 205 in interim tally on Thursday, showing the best performance among Korean players through the third round. She will enter the final round by tying for fifth with Robin Choi of Australia, Austin Kim of the U.S. and Lin Xiyu of China.

She is five strokes ahead of Nelly Korda of the U.S., the lone lead, at 13 under par, but she is one stroke behind Lydia Ko of New Zealand, the two players tied for second.

Kim Sei-young, who made par early in the morning, made her first birdie at the 8th (par 5) and added a birdie at the 10th (par 4). Since then, bogeys have occurred one after another at the 14th (par 4) and 16th (par 4) to bring the number of strokes back to square one, but she succeeded in rebounding by finishing the last two holes with birdies in a row.

Kim Sei-young, who has 12 career wins on the LPGA Tour, won the Pelican Women's Championship most recently in November 2020.
