Becoming a vessel of change and giving hope to those in need is the motivation for 28-year-old Johannes Mollepo to pursue his life. He and 10 Playmakers successfully completed a year-long sports administration learning and leadership program at Diepslut SafeHub III. To honor their achievements, a ceremony was held at one of SafeHub's main sponsors, the Tsogo Sun's Monte Carlo. Other Diepslut SafeHub partners include CATSSETA, Knorr Bremse, and Laureus.

Playmakers are the frontline coaching staff at Safe-Hub, and they deliver all of the after-school programs to different age groups in the facility. All of the playmakers accommodated in the program, all from Dipsloot, are determined to change the community and become positive role models for children and young adults. Molepo, who reflects the emotions of the playmaker program, says he values the opportunity to learn. "We can never get off to a perfect start in life, and improvement and success come with learning. By providing learning opportunities, we empower ourselves and others. Safe Hub provides opportunities to change the lives of young people through sports development – a child who engages in sports is a child out of court."

The Difsrut SafeHub program has been operating at Difsrut's Mujomule Elementary School since February 2016, and has invested over R4 million over three years to be delivered by Amandela EduFootball through a fund partnership with Monte Carlo. This year, 640 local youths, from R grades to Matric, have regularly access to safe environments, offering them sports, arts, life skills lessons, personal development, and opportunities for a better future. SafeHub has also been running a successful night league program for 100 youths from communities over the age of 19 to play soccer on Friday nights. Playmakers (3 boys and 8 girls) aged 18 to 27 worked year-round at SafeHub, working in various activities with their children, training to increase valuable work experience and employment possibilities.

Their learning included NQF level 4 in sports administration, and in 2017, PlayMaker's entire enrollment graduated with a 75-95% acceptance rate on all evaluations. They also completed training that included first aid level 1, SAFA judging course and SAFA coaching D-Licence course, Edu Football Program concepts and tools, value integration and culture, child protection and health, safety and security course, basic computer literacy as well as facilitation, conflict resolution, relationship building, goal setting, professional communication, sexual harassment, CV writing, interview skills, and financial management.
