Manager Enze Postecoglou responded to Liverpool's interest.
The London Evening Standard, a British media outlet, released an interview with Postecoglou on the 17th (Korea time). On Liverpool's interest, Postecoglou said, "I'm just getting started. It's not just a feeling, it's true. It's only been seven months since I came to Tottenham, so I don't need an explanation."
"It was painful to say that we still have a long way to go in terms of the football we want to play, the team we want to be and the squad we want to have. We've had two positive transfer markets, but I think we still have a long way to go," he continued.
Asked if he would be able to lead Tottenham next season, he said: "When things are not going well, there's a question of whether I can be here. When things seem to be going well, the question of whether I'll still be here remains. The reality is mostly out of our control. I'm not worried about that at all."
He continued, "I have a clear understanding of what I do with my 26 years of coaching experience. I'm using it as a basis for explaining where my thought process is. For now, it's important to finish the season well with Tottenham Hotspur and build a really strong foundation for what we want to be going forward."
Jurgen Klopp announced that he will be leaving Liverpool at the end of the season. Liverpool officially announced on its website, "Klopp has announced his resignation to the club after the 2023-24 season. Klopp has decided to step down as Liverpool manager after this season."
