Jordan Spieth of the U.S. had a hard day at the Texas Open with his ballerino on the PGA Tour.
In the third round of the tournament at TPC San Antonio Oaks Course (par 72) in San Antonio, Texas, on the 7th (Korea time), Spieth was raising his ranking toward the top by reducing two strokes to the 17th hole.
But the game started to go awry when his tee shot fell down the tree on the left side of the fairway on the 18th (par 5).
Unable to send the ball forward because of the tree, Spieth fired his second shot further to the left to attempt a layup.
The third shot was the worst. The shot that almost hit the ground went up to the gutter on the roof of the clubhouse and didn't come down.
Fortunately, when Spieth took his next shot, game officials determined that the non-ball line had a stand.
Because of this, Spieth was able to rescue himself without having to climb onto the roof of the clubhouse and hit his fourth shot without a penalty.
In the end, Spieth, who recorded a double bogey on the 18th hole, lost the points he had earned so far and finished the third round tied for 17th place (3-under 213).
Because Spieth wandered off at the 18th hole, players in the group behind him had to wait more than 20 minutes in the tee box of the 18th hole.
